By-and-large, this release is a big disappointment IMO. Don't get me wrong, the visuals contained on this DVD (the old films which have been restored and look **FANTASTIC!!*) are great, absolutely stellar. The quality is so great, that it's difficult to imagine it looking any better (although having said that, I'm sure that yet-ANOTHER remastering is just around the corner once a new technological standard has been set....) BUT..... the audio is another matter. While the 2.0 stereo mix is fine, the 5.1 surround mix is a TOTAL LET-DOWN! If you - like me - are buying it for the experience of having an immersive 5.1 Dolby/5.1 DTS audio mix, please reconsider. The mix is very, very lacking in every way. The surround speakers (the rear speakers) are barely utilized at ALL, to the point where you might begin to wonder if you have forgotten to set your system to 'Surround'. Most of the audio is relegated to the centre speaker, with accents in the front L/R speakers (and a suitable amount of bass). But honestly.... if you want to buy this because the "LOVE" DVD-A was so outstanding (!!!), you are going to be sorely disappointed. It's very weak, very disappointing, a sour experience. NOT recommended.
