Loved these since buying them in1997, for me it was one of those ep’s my favourite track kept switching, did so for some time. Until I love them all equally. Dark and atmospheric, never actually played these out unfortunately, but I’m betting with the right crowd, proper knowledgeable dnb headz any one of them would tear the roof off. Early Roni Size, Die and Krust, seminal stuff at a time when DnB was still emerging and changing week on week.Collectors gonna snap them up down the line mark my words
I have written this review of enforcers 11 and 12 ( double pack )
purely on the strength of the arcon 2 track 'no remorse' which has a devastating drum track, looping over and over until it becomes hypnotic, and the track by wings ( no, not Paul McCartney ) entitled 'wings' which is actually a collaborative effort by
Roni size, Krust, and Dj Die. This is the standout track of the whole ep, in my opinion, with the very spaced out dark jazz - sounding samples and live - sounding drums. The track truly comes alive around five and a half minutes in, when a dirty bass sample sneaks in and starts a whole new pattern for the drums to snake around. Quality.
