- Found a relatively clean (VG+) copy for $10. Sounds great. Great separation and dynamics, Stevie’s voice jumps out at you. Would maybe only consider the RSD for the extras, sound quality in this would be hard to top, especially for the price.
- My copy has the following runout:
ST-MR-814732-A Precision Lacquer SM. + SLM + △769-X 0-1SM2-3 SP
Its not in the database. I believe I have 2 copies of the same runout. - Can't imagine the VMP pressing sounding better than this, though the volume is probably louder I'm sure. There's so much depth here and amazing dynamics! Also it's way easier to find and cheaper, even for a NM copy
- I have a Near Mint original. I would call it Mint, if it was still sealed. Sounds absolutely perfect! If vinyl today was pressed with the care and quality control that it got back when vinyl was our main format, nobody would ever complain. Things like warps or off center spindle holes, etc on a brand new record were not a concern back then. At all!
- Pops, crackles & static right out of the original sleeve first play. Soon dubbed to a low-fi cassette & played that instead and set the lp aside.
- Vinyl Me Please will be releasing this as Essential Record of the Month for May 2020 on 180g blue and black galaxy vinyl, and remastered AAA from the original master tapes by Ryan Smith from Sterling Sound, just a few months after Rhino issued the Gold vinyl.
- Edited 7 years agoI find the fidelity and depth of this pressing to be outstanding...any other experiences? Ms Nicks' vocals simply leap off this vinyl!
