In my ears, the hit here is the amazingly groovy B-side.
It's both bouncy and swinging and has clearly been influenced by the zeitgeist of the mid-1960s. Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made For Walking" comes to mind, also in terms of the confidently delivered lyrics, and French yeye is not far away.
In comparison, the A-side sounds somewhat dated from today's perspective, a schlager with a certain proximity to "volkstümliche Musik" or even "Volksmusik" in the arrangement.
Both sides were popular enough to be included two years later as A1 and A5 in a Peggy March greatest hits compilation.
