I just bought this on a blind gamble because it looked cool. I put it on, and then stopped it around two minutes in so I could roll a joint. It’s so good. It sometimes has vibes of a John Carpenter 70s synth horror soundtrack. I also hear a little Ray Lynch as well. Great independent ambient/stoner synth album! What a pleasant surprise!
Listening to this you'd swear it's Berlin School straight out of Germany, but no its a private press self released record from Bend, Oregon! Garrison had a real sense of melody and timing that helps keep things from drifting too far out into the stratosphere. If you're into this stuff it's really, really well done and stands up to repeated spins! Never had heard of this guy until the last year or so, very glad I stumbled onto this and his other releases. Recommended!
