Project Co-ordination For Universal at Hey Joe!
Mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road, each record was cut using a half-speed mastering technique; a specialist artisan process, which results in cuts that have a superior high frequency (treble) response and solid and stable stereo images. In short, this produces a very high-quality master, which in turn helps to create a very high-quality record.
Additionally, each album is being released as a double 45 RPM half-speed mastered edition, the ultimate high-quality reproduction as the faster the replay speed of the record, the higher the potential quality. The shorter side times also allow the level recorded to the master lacquer discs to be increased, thereby improving the signal to noise ratio.

Reviews
- Edited 4 months agoI put the vinyl on and I flipped! What can be added? The disc is very quiet and sounds phenomenal. One of my favorite albums done right! If you dont feel like flipping the disc, play the CD.
- Sounds amazing. Mine is pressed ever-so-slightly off-center, but not audibly so. What IS audible is the remarkable mastering. I’ve never heard this album, one of my favorites, sound so good.
- This pressing is just fantastic. I've never heard this record sound so good, in any format. Incredible dynamic range and detail.
- I've gone through three copies of this and both discs on all three had these sharp, ripple-like warps that sent the cartridge bouncing up and down rapidly. I doubt that's good for the cartridge's suspension. It's too bad, because this record sounds excellent.
- I first got the single disc remaster of the album here in 2018, which sounds great, except my copy has a scratch on Canton which makes some click sounds on the track. So, I let myself do what I wanted to do at first and bought the 2lp 45rpm edition. It sounds so good! I am so glad I have it now. I did not let myself believe this would be worth the extra expense, but for an album like this, one of my favorites too, it elevates it to a new level. Perfect sounding. If you love Tin Drum I highly recommend the 2lp 45rpm edition.
- sound quality of the pressing absolutely fantastic, everything is super clear and lovely, and the bass tones are funky and smooth. perfect pressing
- Hey there to the 3 people who already say they have this; if you really do have it early can you comment on the sound quality. Cheers, would be much appreciated.
