Reviews
- All reviews are correct. The remaster sounds awful. Rare instance where the CD mastering is superior by a wide margin.
- The mix on this remaster is absolutely horrible. It was actually so bad I turned off my record player and switched to Spotify. The instruments sound way too clean and the vocals are too compressed and toned down. Bought a used copy with the original mix, that one sounds great.
Edited 4 years agoMine wasn't warped, but in my opinion this still has problems with being too flat. I have to really jack up the sub to get any bass out of it. It is maybe marginally better than the digital version I have. No surface noise though, for what it's worth.
Edited 4 years agoBought this in April 2019, not warped but the download card is no good. Seems Partisan and Drop Card have parted ways.
Mine isn’t warped at all. I’m guessing the warped ones might all be from the same supplier.
Great that I don't have to give money to the knobs flipping copies of the original pressings (a big middle finger to the lads profiting off Joe's mother's ashes especially) but reading that these pressings are warped is disheartening. What's the point even?- Definitely a better mix, but sadly this pressing is heavily warped as others have commented.
