- lotta surface noise for me on "Rollin Dany". otherwise it's mostly fine. impressive actually considering it's 57 minutes long. a double LP with a few more tracks would've been much preferred.
- I just picked up a copy of this - very impressed with the press quality, especially given it's length. Just need to crank it up a bit more than usual. I'm not sure whether I have the UK or US press though as I live in NZ.
- Not an impressive pressing by any stretch of the imagination which is a real shame as I have many of the tracks on here in other formats and they all sound worse on this. Fall mastering and production is normally first class..Bearing in mind the length of this album I suggest it's symptomatic of trying to compress too much, fairly dense, music onto a single album.
As I said a real shame as I would happily have spent an extra few ££ for a double album version of this.
I know MES was a real stickler for production values.. the cynic in me can't help wonder if the release of this so soon after his death might be related.
It's still a great thing to own though and I can always listen to it on CD. (Did I say that out loud??) - Actually my copy has quite some background noise. No clicks or pops though.
Seems to be digital sourced. It's an ok release, but I am not impressed. - Not usually into coloured vinyl picture disc etc, however this is a Excellent repress no pops clicks or surface noise, pleased with this lp as my original pressing is looking a bit tired. ✋
