Funny as it may be, this is a cover of The Police: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8OrMfd87Qo

This was a massive 1991 anthem up and down the length of the country, probably the continent, perhaps the western hemisphere?
Voices (Original Dub Mix) was the one played extensively in the UK.
The Sasha fans in particular will hate me, if they don't already, but I have to be honest and admit that I didn't particularly like this record back in the day. I kind of always found myself grooving to it within a long build up set before the mad UK hardcore, underground U.S. and Belgian techno came on ie the music I really wanted to express myself to. Reminds me of trying to feel the effects of amyl nitrate in my blood, trying to trigger the serotonin rush from the 'bird of peace' I had just conversed with half an hour earlier. Wasn't looking for tunes which were rave-light, or techno-light, or house-light for that matter. This was one of those 'light' tunes, and feeling slightly ashamed of myself, always felt that I had to be inebriated to enjoy it. The same hypocrite who is not a fan of people who take copious amounts of unprescribed medication in order to enjoy music. Yes, I'm a hypocrite.
Was seriously contemplating adding it to https://www.discogs.com/lists/Anthems-I-wish-never-had-existed/371436 as I was sick of its monotony and it being overplayed. But I need to give it props and bookmark it for some 1991 nostalgia as I've found it is still very versatile in many sets. And it brings back some good memories as well actually.
Nowadays I'll probably only be able to jerk my body as if trying to get an extremely horny little mutt off my leg! So it's all academc so to speak.

Now it´s 1991 !!! ... House Rekurds don´t come much better than this !!! ... It´s all about the "Original Dub Mix" !!!!! .... This "B1" changed the rules !! ... Superbaaad, sturdy MURK groove !! ... Sounds even better in 2019 !! ... // Tommy
