My wife picked this out, as she's a big fan of Twin Peaks. I wasn't familiar with Julee Cruise. I put this on last night out of curiosity, not realizing it was a 45. Played it at 33, having never heard her voice. I was VERY confused. The first track "Floating" has some slow synths that you can't tell are out of speed at 33rpm. Her voice comes in, and I'm wondering why my wife enjoys this singer. 'She sounds like a man..and her voice is severely off pitch'. In the morning I ask my wife about it, and I put the song up on Youtube. What the..this isn't the song. Ohhhhh - it's a 45! Written in very small letters on the record. Now that I've heard it as intended - I can safely say they're some great demo tracks.
