Reviews
- It's a good album. If you like improvisational jazz. Quality of recording is good. Easy to listen to.
- Edited 2 years agoFor sure, the Tone Poet time for this title will come. Hipnosis, the second album on this twofer, sounds criminally good, even without Kevin Gray’s treatment – a timeless classic. Music and playing is so inspired, can’t believe they didn’t release the album back then. Band sounds as if the cats had played in this formation for years. If in doubt, just listen to the last track ‘The Reason Why’. What a series of immaculate solos from McLean, Moncur and Johnson...
- Don’t sleep on this album. May not be a RVG lacquer but still RVG tape and it sounds incredible. These 70s first runs might be hit or miss, but I will vouch for this one. Just brilliant. $15 is criminal. Best deal you’ll get this year. Whoever did the mastering at UA did things right.
