Where is the clear vinyl issue of this product? It was only available on the bands website.

The specifications do not state "Remastered" but Come On Pilgrim really seems remastered. Playing through a DJ mixer (with all knobs at neutral), it sounds really bright with many "hot" sibilants, with the level indicator in the red the whole way. Understandably, the album is basically a demo-- the tracks all sound like they were recorded in different ways, no consistency, very hard to get the sound really tight I'm sure. Surfer Rosa is much better and is a lot quieter surface-noise wise too. Overall, a very satisfying experience of this classic college rock record, nice Albini-fied kick drum thuds which is what you really want from this one. Still notice some hot "s" sounds especially on "Gigantic"and "Where Is My Mind".

No issues with my copy. No snap, crackle or pop after a vacuum through the VPI, prior to the initial play. The sound quality is not bad either. Surfer Rosa is a quieter cut than Come On Pilgrim, unsurprisingly. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know who the other woman, who is clearly not Kim, that is speaking on the live recording is...assuming a manager or something? Also, I think this is the only live recording I've heard of the Pixies where they really sound like they enjoy playing together. It's fun!
