It's too bad Mr. Beyer doesn't work under his Conceiled Project name too often--it's still techno, but a far cry from his tougher Drumcode works, and probably a precursor to Beyer's Truesoul ideas. Minor chords are the name of the game here, with hints of Detroit, and a much more introspective, if melancholy mood throughout. Conceiled Project Patterns 1-4 on Svek and Second Coming on Code Red are the other two records--essential.

This is some of Adam Beyer's most inspired and interesting work without question. Not your typical Drumcode percussive tekno tools but music with soul and beauty for a change. Haunting melodies, abstract rhythms and glacial atmospherics make this twelve extremely tasty indeed.
