- I got these in gatefold sleeve intended for 2 records, so 2 of them where jammed into one slot. They came so warped that they are unplayable. Ordered new from juno.uk, which I'm usually more than satisfied with. Just make sure you confirm in advance that they are not destroyed by incompatible sleeve.
Edited 5 years agoI got to say I am new to Extrawelt but this album is pretty damn good! It is hard to place exactly the sound they have but it is electro and some tech house elements, but it is not a Drexciya clone like so much electro is these days, some really good melodies and synth work and a wider range of sounds than a lot of current electro, not super obvious, but catchy, bonus points for originality and some really good drum programming, lots of ideas in a single song on some of them, not just repeating the same idea over and over. I am definitely going to have check out more of their stuff. I never really paid attention to the Cocoon label, so I guess I need to investigate it further for the more electro side of stuff. We are the Asteroid! has some awesome vocoder, with a moroder type synth line, but very smooth and subtle. Nice one!
Absolutely superb. Crisp, haunting electro with huge bass and impeccable production. Possibly their best album yet.
