Show All 21 Reviews- I have the 2023 reissue of this vinyl. The record is quiet, in fact it is the most quiet record of my collection.
I recommend. - Edited 2 months agoThis is definitely a significant improvement on the CD. The brickwalling is significantly reduced and the music is enormously more dynamic and explosive as a result. The cover is somewhat underwhelming though.
- This sounds great to me, super dynamic and great instrument separation. If there was any criticism then the low end feels a little light but nothing serious.
- It's a pity that a great band like this is almost unlistenable in CD, due to the massive brickwalling they suffer from. As a result of that, the only way to enjoy this masterpiece without ear fatigue is by listening it on vinyl. Don't understand the hate, for starters this copy is dynamic, exactly a dr12, and mine sounds clean, full, and definitely much better than de original CD.
- I just played mine for the first time and it sounds great.
After so many comments about poor quality, maybe the problem is just inconsistency - some are great and some not so much.
Anyway, mine works great and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this album after so many years. - My copy sounds good. I washed both sides of the record and then played through a Fluence Reverence RT82 Record Player with an Ortofon OM10 cartridge, an Art DJ Pre II external preamp and a pair of Edifier R1280T Powered Bookshelf Speakers. Sound fills the room with all the instruments playing through clearly. Very much enjoying this!
