The new 2023 European reissue sounds perfect.
Just an FYI
New pressing is out, bunch of reasonably priced copies here( of which I bought one) has 2023 date on the backsleeve
For all the complaints about the quality of the vinyl pressing, I have no major issues. I thought the vinyl sounded fine, albeit very quiet. Yes, I'd love a louder pressing, but that's what the volume knob is for, right?- Great movie, lovely tracklist but really really bad pressing. Such a shame.
My copy sounds fine, great tracks ! No surface noise.
I've given up on acquiring this as at this point I really only want the movie version of dickmatized which isn't happening- as much as I love the score I don't think there is any way they'd be able to put all of these songs in their entirety on a 2LP without sacrificing sound quality. Put a 3LP out!! (and get the climax mix of dickmatized on there too)

but why are the prices so expensive if the vinyl sounds so crappy??
Edited 4 years agoOne of the worst sounding records I have in my collection. Dynamics are whacked, there is no presence, no highs, no lows, it's too quiet and the surface noise is unbearably present.
Don't pay crazy prices, it was a cheap and dirty affair 3 years ago, and it didn't get any better.
Just got this one.
I love these songs really much, but pressing is really poor.
Windowlicker is totally ruined. Part of song in beginning just skipped :(
