Reviews
- Oh dear oh dear. The infamous GZ vinyl strikes again with piss poor vinyl, mastering, pressings etc. I now avoid anything and everything they do. Buyer beware!
- A friend brought over this grey vinyl edition. We played it on my Rega Planar 2. It sounded dull, lifeless, un-engaging; the bass is un-defined.
We then compared it to my UK 1970's pressing - this sounded alive with well defined bass - it sparkled.
I've generally had mostly success with modern vinyl. However, records like this give modern vinyl a bad name. My recommendation: avoid this grey edition. - My copy contains 2009 remix, although it states to be 1973 original mix. Also very bad sound quality, lots of surface noise.
- Edited 3 years agoAs it was pointed out by jason202, I bought my copy in the US via The Sound of Vinyl.
Sadly, though, a very bad pressing, with lots of surface noise, some pops, and even a skip at the beginning of side A. I cleaned the record but the problems still persist. It's now the worst vinyl record in my (small) collection.
Updated 11/3/19: Customer service offered a refund and I returned this vinyl. Again, so sad this is such a TERRIBLE pressing! - This release is now available in the US from The Sound of Vinyl. It has the Limited Edition Grey Vinyl sticker on the front and a sticker on the back that says Made in Czech Republic.
