- This is one of Roman Flügel´s finest albums. The indian drums in some of the tracks, particularly the second, and how it blends with Flugel´s harmonic skills is truly mesmerising. Could not be happier to have it in my collection.
- The description is a little misleading, Ambient /Drone? Its definitely a departure from some of Roman's later work as Alter Ego but was expecting something more restrained in the truer "Ambient" or "Drone" sense. There is maybe an undercurrent of these genres but I feel this album overall falls more into the Experimental, minimal spectrum, as there are some subtle grooves, ethnic percussive influences and some nice melodic synth elements, including relaxing guitar textures and one track nods towards Kraftwerk.
A thoughtful diverse collection of the more subdued electronic kind with some organic moments that deserves a few listens to reveal some hidden depths. A much welcomed edition in my Flügel collection.
- Real interesting sounds. Can't believe I missed this for 11 months.
- what a lovely record!
