I had a 'Dynaflex' version of this album when it came out. Thin, wobble-board like LP with quite a noticeable surface rumble but it never warped and in fact was a really good sound pressing! Who'd have guessed. Popular Denver album fuelled by the success of the title track amongst others but thin on material. It relied heavily on a return to the Lennon-McCartney stable, a reworking of Darcy Farrow, and Prine's 'Paradise' to give it body and as much as I love John Denver the Season's Suite was a bit twee and self-indulgent albeit perfectly adequate. As an album it holds together well and started raising the stakes and production values.
