It may not be their best album (even though I REALLY enjoy it), but holy crap, does this record sound amazing. I've played loud and soft and there's no background noise anywhere. All frequencies are perfectly enjoyable.

This is the second Muse album I genuinely love from start to finish. The other one is The Resistance. I think people who are negative about this album are extremely subjective and while frankly they have all the right to be, I however like looking at albums in isolation rather than comparing them to others a band released in the past. I find myself enjoying music much more like that. This album I think will fit well into a lot of people's collection, both new and old fans of Muse.

Hah some synthwave band called Simulation Theory have released an album called Muse. No hang,,, This IS Muse? Are they cashing in or trolling?

Very nice songs for people that are not into Muse as the big fans are (Like me). Good sound of the vinyl and amazing album cover.

Not a fantastic pressing but its perfectly fine. As for the album itself, I really liked this. There are some synthwave washed new Muse classics, like the opener Algorithm, Blockades, and the Void. But this is without a doubt their 'safest' release. But in this case, safest is not bad.

Muse worst effort so far...no Heavy guitars, horrible drum(?)sounds and overproduced songs that goes in one ear and out the other… I thought that "The 2nd law" was a bit pop-ish but it still had a few good songs and sounds. But this one has absolutely nothing. Please go back to the beginning again. It's great to experiment sometimes but this feels more like an album filled with personal problems...sorry.

Just did a DR analysis of the pressing. While it's nothing groundbreaking it's definitely an improvement from the muddy CD

There isn't a generation of Muse fan that won't love at least a couple of tracks on this amazing record. The album opener and closer are as epic as they come, this time with the quaint darkness of Ruled by Secrecy, but with the grand cinematic scale of the Exogenesis symphony. They're arguably the album's absolute highlights. Fans of Vangellis' Bladerunner theme will be elated.

Propaganda is the eccentric wild card of the album that leaves a smile on your face the moment it starts. Whereas The Dark Side brings Bliss style arcade arpeggios backed by synths and drums that're straight out of Europe's The Final Countdown.

Break it to Me is a beast of a track that draws on all the best body-popping Rage Against the Machine vibes (if you can imagine such a thing) while Blockades fulfils a nice little rockin' number for those that're fans of Absolution's fillers like The Small Print and Thoughts of a Dying Atheist.

Simulation Theory is the younger, cool brother to The 2nd Law - who was born at just the right time to know what it's doing with all the new advances available to it. It's learnt from 2nd Law's mistakes, and it's aspiration to be as bold as Origin, Black Holes, and Absolution are met with flying colours.

This pressing: It's OK. 3/5. The vinyl isn't heavyweight, it needs a clean fresh out the box, plays well without any noticeable skips, pops, or clicks, the jacket is standardly thin and isn't gatefolded, and the only artwork is found on the front and back - of which an opportunity for foil lettering could have been excellently executed. But wasn't.

Inside you'll find the lyrics have been printed on the A and B side of the glossy paper sleeve, and good luck trying to read them, because they haven't made it easy - choosing style over substance in this regard. So much so that a fair few of the lyrics are misspelt!
