Edited 3 months agoThe first pressing of this was very low-volume - maybe mastered that way. Does this sound louder at least?
Sounds amazing. Hearing the record like I’ve never heard it before. Puts that cursed 2008 pressing to shame.- I got a black vinyl copy of this with matching runouts, Calyx '18, etc. PURE11LP (no X), same barcode.
Terrific sound quality compare to the 2008 release which was a shame release. The Layout and design is also well made. If you like Stereolab, than you should go for this nice release.
Not sure if it's my setup (ATLP120, Nagaoka MP-110), but I've been having some strange sibilance, especially on the track "Peng ! 33". Other than that, great pressing.
I'd like to know more about this version too. Why wasn't it part of the recent duophonic official releases?- How does this compare to the 2008 pressing? Is it the same or is it the new band-official reissue?
