I really don't understand the negative reviews about this pressing. Maybe there was a bad batch distributed somehow. I own the first pressing of " What a pleasure" and " Beach fossils" as well and this limited edition sound way better. The mastering is well done and the sound is definitely more clear with better bass and overall is more lively. I didn't even clean my record before listened to it for the first time, just gave it a quick shot with a regular anti-static brush. I use a Rega P3 with ortophon 2m blue, rega amp and Focal chorus 706 for sound system.
p.s Btw to the person who think colored vinyl mean automatically poor quality pressing, you're completely clueless of what your talking about. Im not even to go in details to explain this to you...

Cleaning these records I'm sure would fix most people's problems. I cleaned mine right out of the sleeve, and my copy sounds great. I think all of these reissues are dirty as hell and need a good wet cleaning.
My copy sounds absolutely brill - No surface noise, no skippings. I don’t know where these people are spinning their records, but I never had issues with this version.
Just like everyone else, I’m also experiencing a ton of surface noise and distortion. I feel like because of the other comments I have to defend colored records as a large majority of the records I own are colored and sound crystal clear, this just happens to be a poor pressing. A very poor pressing at that. It’s definitely worse in some parts than others, but I do wish I would have bought a standard pressing. So if you’re thinking about which pressing to get, consider the black, as beautiful as this one is.
I'm also frustrated with the quality of the pressing. Shame on me for getting a colored vinyl—especially considering how many times I've promised myself I wouldn't do it again. However, the limited edition was the only one I could find. This is a real shame because Beach Fossils is one of my favorite bands. I gave the vinyl a deep clean and it slightly improved the sound, but the right channel really stinks.

Yeeeeaaaahhhhh...thin, pink translucent vinyl.."I bet this sounds GREAT." I mean, c'mon... just press the records on 150g virgin black vinyl and no fucking problem. People have known this for DECADES. George Clanton on the first pressing of his Virtua.Zip LP: "200 copies in Virgin Black vinyl for optimal listening quality." You really don't need a heads-up or anything on getting shitty records when it comes to colored vinyl. THEY ALL ARE.

Really wish I had seen the bad reviews for this pressing. Surface noise, distortion...it's shit. Truly disappointed, as it's a great album and this edition looks awesome. Avoid.

Whoa! This pressing is FUCKED. My first had constant distortion in the right channel and crackle all over. But, once you get between song transitions you get crazy spikes of distortion, crackle, sizzle... everything. It’s harder to hear during songs, but it’s there. So I wrote Bayonet and they sent me a second copy and it’s identical to the first. Bad pressing! Avoid at all costs!
