Reviews
- While it’s pretty to look at, it sounds inferior to the compact disc. It is missing certain emphasis and details I know the back of my hand. I’m using an Ortofon black on two different turntables. SRA and VTF is correct, well aligned cart.
Uploaded this to my computer and a mint 2003 German pressing. The 2003 pressing blows this and the CD out of the water. This sounds like a CD was pressed to disc.
I don’t know what equipment the rest of you are using. - I have a copy that has side 1 labels on both sides of record 1 (so I have to play a little bit of one side to know whether it’s actually side 1 or side 2...) Any one else with this mislabelling?
- AVOID. This was always a muddy recording, but this pressing is just woeful. Dull, lifeless, and in need of a proper remaster.
- Sounds absolutly great. Yes I have the german original and both are great. This is new cut and done at Capitol.
