- It was not until the end of 2018 that Compro, Skee Mask’s magnificent album, was consecrated in a limited edition vinyl, inducing the album in the best album of the year 2018. Indeed this record is a demonstration, a perfect tour guide of electronic music, addressing his styles, his rhythms with an insurance worthy of the most experienced producers. The mastery displayed by Skee Mask is impressive, it evokes the first works of Autechre in the 90s, highlighting electronica, techno, drum & bass and breakbeat. An album that will remain timeless, becoming an indispensable for all discotheques, physical or digital.
Any input to the pressing or sound quality of this particular version? I have both this and the regular release unopened and trying to figure out which one to keep... Thanks!- Cohesive and coherent. This album blends ambient, techno, breakbeat and jungle without ever sounding like it was much effort. I haven't been compelled to relisten to an album, like this, since Burial's debut. This album is best served with a decent sound system, and time to get lost in the depths and complexities.

Gorgeous album, but it came up way more on the green end of yellow.
