- I'd like to compare an original Hollywood pressing to this one, as this sounds pretty great to my ears.
As for the record itself, it's a classic. Not Harry or Lennon's cleanest work by a long shot, but it's a delight from start to finish. The Dylan cover has fantastically raw energy in particular. Loop De Loop is also especially fun, and Mucho Mungo / Mt. Elga is one of Harry's best songs. - Edited 2 years agoSadly, not a great album. It has it's moments, but doesn't work as a whole like everything that preceded it. I mean, look at the photos and the guest credits. It's like role call for The Professional Rock N Roll Party Animals & Soon To Be Dead. . Keith Moon had 4 years to live. You can't get any work done at a non-stop party or with a tampon on yer noggin (blocks the creative thoughts). Look at all the cover tunes for proof. Points for "Subterranean Homesick Blues" sounding as abrasive as anything post-punk would offer 5-6 years down the line.
- Is it normal for copies of this release to have a 24"x 24" foldout poster of cover art?
I don't see it mentioned in the notes or any of the numerous for sale listings?
