Edited one year agoWhat a hidden treasure this is. Cults transform the obscure 1979 debut album by the Motels into an indie dream pop masterpiece and one of their own best efforts (which is itself, unfortunately, also obscure). Unlike some others in the Turntable Kitchen covers series, this is not available on streaming or digital (only 3 tracks off it can be found on Apple Music or Bandcamp). If you're a fan of Cults at all (or probably the Motels as well), you want to get this, right now. My copy is near flawless despite being from Pirates Press.
