Though LOMA isn't a album proper, but rather a collection of various EPs from Throwing Snow, his skills are still on full display. The deep bass of "Simmer" conjures up visions of dark dubstep with some subdued jungle clatter thrown in for good measure, while "Myriad" is more melodically approachable, humming to life. "Trébucher" takes the same concept, turns it into a minor key, and varies the tempos for an intriguing listen, and "Subtitles" turns a processed vocal sample into a hum and lets it ground a blippy groove. A martial-sounding break marches across "Tantrum," accompanying a reverberating bass thrum before "Vulpine" introduces a more tribal dimension before it dissolves into sparkles. "Minotaurs" once again puts the melody forward, first in a few sketched notes, then a fuller sonic sweep, but it's with "V" that we hear him filling the space with a gorgeous sense of sound. Finally Octo Octa gives "Simmer" a steady beat, allowing it a slow build and a constant groove. While it doesn't have the cohesiveness of his album, it's still a great listen.
