- while browsing at Dr. freeclouds in huntington beach i came across the other record he did called compelling percussion, at Dr. Freeclouds you can preview records so i took it and listened and was really surprised to hear songs that actually had COMPELLING percussion. totally the opposite of all those goodwill finds that say sizzling strings and castanet or percussion ensemble blah blah blah, that always turn out to be loaded with strings and horns and shit and that completely overpower the instrument(s) it advertised. this record on the other hand as well the aforementioned one are packed with rad inspiring drums and rock and roll guitar stomper hits and some originals i believe. either way the drums are front and center and really awesome
