Jingai – Equator

"Equator" blends euphoric rhythms with deep textures to massive effect. Not for the faint of heart, the drum levels have been driven to breaking point- the cracking and distorting of the digital signal becomes an integral part of the rhythm track and burns through the other elements like acid.

On remix duties here are YTAC and Dr Weevil, the former providing a lumbering ghetto-glitch workout fresh from the streets of the 18eme, the latter dissecting chopped audio into percussive textures over a typically dark Weevil groove.
