Notes

The tracks have been pressed on 5 small records (white vinyl, 7 inch). Each record has its own catalogue number, so this box holds Enzyme X 25 through X 29 and therefore the catalogue number of this box is Enzyme X 2526272829. The records are packed in a white box (carton) with silver artwork.

Commonly referred to as 'The White Box'. There are no producer credits mentioned on the record nor the box itself. All producer credits are taken from the Enzyme Injection 5 mix CDs.

The cat. number on side of the box has a typo:
"ENZYME X XXVXXVIXXVIIXXVIIIXIX" which translated means: ENZYME X 25-26-27-28-19.

"Taboo" samples the movie "The Butterfly Effect"

Good collection of songs in a nice little box. The discs are all pretty much free of surface noise and sound great.

On the Enzyme Records website in early 2008, there was a competition to coincide with the release of this quadruple vinyl box. The competition was to correctly name the producer(s) of each track. This was always tricky because on the Enzyme X records they never revealed the artists name (except for Enzyme X 13, naturally), also if you booked Enzyme X as a DJ, you never knew which DJs would turn up from Cardiac Music. The prize was a signed copy of Enzyme X 25. To my knowledge, nobody guessed the right sequence of producers, it was quite difficult from memory.

My personal favourite is Taboo by Hamunaptra, pounding Industrial kicks, a Frantic paced squiggly synth line and a serious sample from the movie The Butterfly Effect. The other dope track on here is Kegadoru by Ruffneck and Ophidian. This is a surprisingly breakneck Industrial Hardcore track with shades of The Outside Agency and Epsilon from Bloody Fist Records. Kegadoru is the Japanese word for Injured Idol and is the practice of wrapping your head and body in bandages as though you were badly injured, which is really really weird! So called the White Box as this is a sequel of sorts to Ophidian's classic album, Blackbox.

Quite a superb release. This box set is the Enzyme X version of the very successful "Gathering Of Styles" releases on Enzyme records. A very diverse representation of more experimental tracks. Personally: I LOVE IT. This compilation of artist styles will most definately stand out against anything currently available. As always it will be looked over, but in time it will be recognised as the landmark it is. Once again the vision behind this box set reflects the fact that diversity is far more important than "Paint by numbers" commercial tekno.

          Thank you ENZYME CREW

The music on this box is very diverse. One thing is for sure, you will not find any mainstream melodies on these records.

To celebrate the new Enzyme X release there has been a t-shirt released with the same artwork as the vinyl package. The shirt is available in 2 colors (black & white) and in S - XXL.

Beware, if you order the t-shirt though, it is a 'bodyfit' cut which means it's tight fitting! If you don't want it to fit really tight, I'd recommend getting a larger size.
