bod [包家巷] – The Recurrence Of Infections [复发感染]

A bummer that this doesn't exist on some format, cd, cassette, vinyl... this is not music suited to live on a hard drive. Very compelling album.

The first and self-titled track is possibly one of the most personal, emotionally complex, riveting and powerful tracks I have heard in some years. I can't really describe on what exactly goes on in this piece, but I'd prefer to keep it that way from spoiling the experience for whomever is about to; but I can say that it is like chaos in a desperate search of sanctuary - very anxious, lugubrious and bleak, but at the same time being serene and blissful. Think a somewhat more "demented" amalgamation of World's End Girlfriend and Ben Frost.

Very crisp execution, highly structured with a top-notch atmosphere to boot. Absolutely incredible.
