I have read others' comments regarding this 3LP set and I really cannot see what their issue is. My copy is perfectly flat - no sign of a warp of ANY degree. The quiet parts are DEAD quiet - no noise whatsoever. I am wondering whether their issues might not stem from their equipment. My copy of this is one of the most perfect (as in NO faults at all) records I have (and that is over 8,000 vinyl albums going as far back as 1948.)

Just had to return this to my fave record store cos of the terrible pressing quality of the copy I bought. I'm so gutted. Make sure you check your copy before purchasing as mine was unlistenable due to the intermittent crackling

I found this box set in a local record store yesterday. So this has been release three years ago ? I guess I've been lucky to find it new after all this time. The job done here is a great. The vinyls are clean and not noisy, there's a thick pictured cardboard cover for each LP, with a polylined inner sleeve, and also an informative booklet. What could we gripe about ? Perhaps on the different ambient/atmosphere of the songs... I wish they would be all like the ones on the F-side. That being said, most of the time, these different moods work on me. "See the light", "A Dream Sails Out To Sea" and "Original BGM" are for me real gems, the latter being the most Brian Eno-ish. I was looking for music to write my thesis on and this is perfect for that purpose. Lovely collection and quality mastering and pressing : 5 well deserved stars. Thanks to everybody involved in the creation of this amazing boxset.

This thing share some issues with 'Somewhere Between', even though the overall product seems way more luxurious.

          GOOD:
          - Despite the very-chill music & the not-so-clean records, most of the listening experience is good,
          - Very nice boxset: even if the artwork is a bit bland, the whole package is well done. Thick inners, not too tight box, anti-static sleeves & a nice booklet.

          BAD
          - A bit warped like many LitA records i got in the past,
          - Some sides arrived with a few marks. Nothing too bad, but still
          - Some light pops on side B, C, E & F.

          COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
          - My inner-designer is annoyed by the art direction LitA is pursuing with those compilations (those two-colors booklets/inners hide all the greatnest of original artworks).
          - Even more music?

All in all, a nice release but it could have been better, especially as expensive as it is (at least here in the EU).

I just bought this record new from LITA. It was sealed and everything. Disc 2 was missing! Has anyone else experienced this? I came here because I can't get a hold of anyone on their team lol...

lovely release. it still feels a bit pricey, but the pressing is super quiet and sounds better than my digital copy. the booklet is nice and the artwork is just great, it fits all of the music so well. if you can find this for a good price, and you like this compilation, jump on it.

also there should be a download. it's kinda bullshit that we only get ten tracks - tbf it's all some of the best material, but cmon, it's one third of the full release.

Beautiful box set. The packaging is superb and I'm loving every part of it, especially the booklet.
Regarding the vinyl, disc 1 came a bit warped but it doesn't affect playback, although it's the one with the most pops and clicks (some of them very annoying, especially in side A). Disc 2 and 3 are almost flawless. There's no big difference after a wet cleaning since the loud pops are still there. Still, the three discs are really quiet and sound really good.
For the price, I expected more care regarding the pressing since every other aspect is perfectly done. But even after that, this release is a must have if you're into ambient, especially knowing how difficult is to have all these artists together due to licensing japanese works.

Got my box set in August 2020 in the most resent re-release. Opened today: all 3 discs are dish warped, while disc 1 is BADLY warped - as in, my turntable spindle barely pokes through when placing it concave-side-down. It's actually the worst I've seen any brand new record arrive in, much less one I payed that much money for. I am somewhat shocked given the apparent quality control LITA, RTI, and this particular release are known for. I've heard good things about LITA's customer service, though, and am hoping they look into it and help me out. Crazy!

Edit: well it's been two weeks and I haven't heard a peep from LITA after sending two emails containing photo/video proof. Hugely disappointed...starting to give up hope about their customer service. Buy with caution!
