Certain performance credits listed in the CD booklet are at odds with many Ellington discographies:
- booklet identifies the banjo player on tracks 1 and 2 as George Francis, but most discographies show him to be Fred Guy, who appears to have replaced Francis in the band in February 1924.
- booklet identifies the Duke Ellington as the pianist on tracks 4 and 5; however, the current consensus is that Jimmie McHugh performs on track 4 and J. Lawrence Cook made the piano roll from which track 5 was dubbed.
