Tangle III is so well-made and inventive to me...never gets old.

Pretty good little release. Obviously if you're a Autechre fan you'll enjoy this one. A lot of people compare it to Autechre's Draft 7.30 album. I can see why, both of these works were released in 2003, so they were in the same frame of mind while working on both projects most likely. However, this CD seems to be a little more easy to get into then Draft 7.30 if you ask me. There is no name at all on this release, instead there is a brail sticker that reads "Gescom - ISS:SA" pretty neat

It's not exactly fair to compare Draft 7.30 and ISS:SA. The latter has a much more playful, I would even say funky sound - much like "Laughing Quarter" on Autechre's Envane or "Key Nell 3" by Gescom.

The entire album sounds like something that could become a dancefloor hit... if Gescom didn't cut it in tiny fragments, stretched, tilted, squeezed, turned upside-down and inside-out, and finally put it back together. The tracks are complex but very entertaining!

As with other Gescom releases its unsure just who features on the record, yet on this particular EP, the first track sounds like something shelved off of Autechre's DRAFT 7.30. Fans of AE or Gescom shouldnt miss out on this, and the CD version comes with a 14+ minute bonus track "MEGAMIX".... Love it.
