Reviews
- Aleph Zero is a well-known downtempo psy label. Here we have a rather interesting release from a fairly unknown artist before this album - Vataff Project.
What strikes us at first while listening to the album is that the style is completely unique. It is very mystic, at times even haunting. The cover represents it very well and the music inside would, indeed, be suited nicely in such forest during the night. The whole album doesn't deviate a lot from its style and is also mixed, creating the feeling of a set. There are many things that keep you interested throughout - typical Bulgarian instruments and vocals, different animal noises, subtle melodies and awesome beat patterns. It sucks you in so much that you cannot stop listening to it until it finishes. And the CD is barely not maxed-out (a big plus, especially nowadays)!
As a whole, this is one of the underrated albums floating around. It doesn't receive the recognition that it deserves. And, in my opinion, such a unique psy style should not go under the radar. Recommended!
