My copy is free of audible noise and crackling.
Nevertheless, I am disappointed with the quality of the recording.
The sound is strange, the edge frequencies are emphasized. The middle frequencies are suppressed so Elisabeth's voice is unnatural. I don't have the original album (1994) or CD so I have no way to compare. I have almost all the Cocteau Twins albums from 4AD but none sound like this... The album was listened to on the three independent setups.
It's a shame because it's very nice dream music.

Such a great record and mine sounds fantastic. I have quite a few Cocteau Twins including originals and reissues. This is up there in my top 3 albums by them. Just a clean, clear, dreamy ride. The voices really shine on my setup.

Was worried after reading some reviews of this pressing, but it sounds great!

Such an underrated album, so dreamy and honestly one of their best. Reissue sounds great as well.

Ugh…gone through 2 copies of this and each one side A is fine, but side B is way off center. I used to have no issues with MPO pressings, but this is ridiculous. Does anyone have a copy that's on center both sides??

Amazingly underrated album, repress has some background noise but nothing substantial

I was disappointed to hear that my brand new copy is unbelievably noisy. Even after extensive cleaning it still has a low end rumble throughout the whole record. Not anything like my other recent Cocteau reissues.

my brand new copy has crackles & pops in the frist three tracks.

it's a pity. i hold this unorthodox view that this is their finest work, this and 'heaven or las vegas'.
the only thing i don't get is why 'evangeline' is already the 2nd track, it's a song that would fit well deeper into the album.

My copy has some, what I assume is, pressing issue on A1. Have anyone else experienced this? it sounds like a scraping noise in the left speaker and it keeps returning maybe half a dozen times during the song. Annoying since I bought it new and sealed and that these things are so hard to prove to online stores... From earlier comments I suspect this is just my copy.

Very nice, smooth sounding reissue. Also nice package, but no lyrics.
