- Edited 6 months agoGreat album, not massively keen on the mastering/production on all tracks though - sounds 2D/brickwalled in places like Beck’s and St Vincent’s more recent poppier albums. Compressed to the nth degree. I dunno maybe streaming or CD is better for these kinds of albums? Or maybe studios need to stop relying on late 90s early noughties studio gimmicks? Maybe it’s just me…
- Edited one year agoThis record sounds really amazing--very full and gorgeously detailed. With so many midtempo & slower songs, I wasn't expecting the whole album to be so interesting, but the harmonies alone are worth the price.
Any time I see "CB" etched into the deadwax, I know it's a keeper!
