Reviews
- Just picked this up on a blind buy at the record store, and man, what a first spin. Even with all the surface noise (definitely needs a deep clean), the music cut through effortlessly. This is Philly soul at its finest - warm, rich, and deeply felt.
Dee Dee Sharp’s vocals glide over these lush arrangements with so much grace. She walked so artists like Jill Scott could soar.
The album has its high-flying soul moments, but then “Share My Love” comes in with that disco groove, adding a whole new flavor. And then there’s Ooh Child : double nostalgia hit me instantly when I recognized the sample Joe flipped decades later, and it had been a while since I heard that Joe song too. So many beautiful melodies on A side. “Touch my life with greatness, touch my life with love”
Just beautiful music. Timeless..
This album is from 1975 but still tasteful and probably better than most R&B soul records out today. - Phenomenal master recording resulting in excellent vinyl pressing and audio fidelity. For a general vinyl record release, the quality of this pressing is on par to the audio standard of a MoFi Original Master Recording series.
