- The disc image with this listing is very representative of the first pressings which favored the beige-pink tints. As CBS Santa Maria refined the splatter color process the effect yielded more flowing blacks and greys creating much greater contrast. This later effect was what LaPuma and the designers were looking for from the beginning.
- Edited 9 years agoThis comment was emailed to me after I did some updates on this release. "Comment: I do not see Prog-Rock nor AM Pop on any of the songs here. However I can hear Rhythm & Blues, a little bit of Soul music, a little bit of Blues." I was working at Sunset during the recording of this album and mastered it's first release and I agree that the style attributed by the original poster is off somewhat. At the time this was considered a rock record and got lots of FM airplay right after its release. Therefore I am changing its style listing to include blues rock more fitting to the original release time period. All the influences mentioned in the comment are certainly true and as if often said in music circles.."the blues had a baby and they named it rock n' roll".
