As an owner of multiple copies of DSOTM, including the MOFI half-speed mastered, a copy from a small intermediate run between the 1st and 2nd UK pressings, a very early US pressing and a beautiful sounding German pressing (trust me: German pressings are fantastic, very underated), this Australian pressing is i think the best-sounding in my collection. To my ears, and on my system, anyway

I bought this for $25 bucks. It sounded terrible. Now on possibly my 7th clean, and it just keeps getting better! Was going to buy a Japanese pressing but not going to bother. Sounds bloody fantastic. The register and clocks...

Save yourself some money and just get this instead of the overpriced UK quad, this sounds exactly the same.

As someone who went deaf as a teenager listening to the CD, the mix here is subtly different and does present a better soundstage than the digital version. Glad I was able to get this.

This record is absolutely mind-blowing. It smashes my 30th Anniversay cut to pieces. The biggest craziest 3D soundstage ever! Also dead silent vinyl after a good clean. So, so, so good!!!!

Listening to it now and it still sends chills down my spine. The sound/mix is really incredible, even if you only have a 2 speaker stereo system.

This pressing decodes nicely into 4 Channels, but requires the use of a SQ decoder for maximum effect. However, you can get away with using a Dolby Pro Logic decoder, but the soundstage will be messed up.

Looking at our copy of this disc I see that the A-2 & B-2 suffixes are actually: A-2 & A changed by hand into a B-2.The 'A' is stamped and is clearly visible under the hand scratched B ! Check yoyr copy-even without a magnifier.
