Notes
Limited to 9000 copies. Housed in a gatefold jacket with a single-sided glossy insert and a 16-page glossy photo booklet.
Tracks D4 and D5 are not listed on the release. They were previously located on the CD release as rewindable, hidden tracks. They appear here after a locked groove following track D3 and can only be played by manually moving the stylus. The first features David Lynch speaking a code towards the end which unlocked the track "The Norwegians" on his homepage at the time. The song has since been released as part of The Twin Peaks Archive. The second piece is an on-set recording of the piano accompaniment to the poem "It was Laura". The poem is still faintly audible in the background.
Track A5 is referred to as "Credit Boogie" in the booklet.
Track B6 is referred to as "Abstract Mood" in the booklet.
Recorded at Excalibur Sound except A6 recorded at Capital Recording and B6 to B8 recorded at Group IV Recording.
Mixed at Excalibur Sound. Additional mixing at Asymmetrical Studio, Hollywood, CA.

- Wonderful indeed! I use the beautiful extra print as the cover, the vinyl is silent and superbly clear and deep. The music speaks for itself!
What a fantastic release! - Edited 4 years agoAbsolutely fabulous pressing, can't believe how good it is! Also, the locked groove and hidden track at the end of side 4 makes it even more special and cool. Fantastic release.
- Besides two scratchy sounds on Hayward Boogie, this is the best pressing of all Twin Peaks records. It's a shame they couldn't get this quality on some of the season 3 tracks, whose C-side most suffers on that album. But this has really gone above and beyond. Surface noise is totally quiet - it's kind of amazing when you drop the needle, it's like you don't even know if you put it all the way down or not. This is a rare beauty and a fine addition to the collection.
My only complaint is about the packaging. The TPS2 is incredibly cheap looking, which may be how Lynch feels about the whole season! If that's not an indication of him giving the middle finger, I would say the insert is, because it features NO PICTURES from season 2! LoL So yeah, there's some kind of inside joke there. It's pretty amazing that this was released 29 years later, just a few months after I got into vinyl. I do feel like I stepped in at the right time, and this was the surest sign. - Dead quiet, dead centered pressing. Flawless.
The booklet and insert aren’t that exciting (the pixelated image of Laura Palmer shows that more care was given to the wax, thankfully), and the cover speaks for itself. - I almost avoided this since I had bad experiences with the Death Waltz/Rainbo Twin peaks releases, but this is a really great pressing --- seems like Rhino got it right. Great sound quality, as expected from anything cut by Bernie Grundman
- Another great sounding Twin Peaks release from Rhino, they definitely know how to make clean sounding pressings. The cover art might not be the best but otherwise this release is pure gold. Definitely worth the wait for the re-release on vinyl!
