Piss take?
Hmmm.
Perhaps the brothers Hawtin should have gone down the route of TSOB label series?
Just a thought! ;)

Be interesting to hear what they've done in terms of a remaster.
According to RH in his recent promotional interview on BBC radio 6, this material came from a time when he had a very limited budget and no access to DAWs, multi tracking or high-end studio recording equipment. He sequenced it, tweaked in real time and it was captured as-is. So a stereo master, likely DAT. No multi-track from which to rework a master and no wide analogue master tape from which to recut a new vinyl master. Luckily the original vinyl sounds great.
Doesn't seem like there's a stampede to grab this. VF still have 322 copies available, down 1 in about a month. Probably just the price, maybe no one cares much (or enough) about this material anymore. Be useful if they'd give some indication of what type of pixie dust they've sprinkled on the original rather than expecting people to just take a £300 punt on it.

?! >> £300?! 300 GBP from the label directly? Not to mention another £46 in shipping.
£346 for this item?

As a collector, it was totally worth the price. It is much more than a re-mastered classic. It is art.

26 have, 79 want. Limited edition of 500 at four times what a box set like this would normally sell at. Someone at Vinyl Factory has been smoking a hell of a lot of cane! Could we see a regular edition aimed at the ordinary record collector market please!?
