Can anyone compare this to the 2010 BLACK Decca reissue? Trying to figure out which version to get.
A very good sounding reissue compared to an original UK Decca. Much better sounding than the 2010 40th anniversary ltd. white vinyl version which sounds terrible and unbalanced between the left and right channel. Bang for the buck!
Edited one year agoI can second that, the sound quality is excellent. I too cannot say how much may have been lost in comparison to an original copy, but this re-issue is not one of these "we press CD on vinyl" rip-offs. Apart from the sound quality, this can also be told by the volume-variations which usually are equalized for CD-pressing, and in case of this record are rather extreme.
I am happy to have it and see no need to chase an original in this case.
HEY. The sound quality is good - crisp and clean, satisfactory dynamics. I have not heard an earlier release of this album.
Lacquered vinyl plate cover is OK. PLUS is bonus track on side B - C.D.
