Some say that the sampled drums and "horn stab" in "Owner of a Lonely Heart" by Yes (1983) come from the track "Kool Is Back." An early example of a sample.

Funk Inc LP - 'Kool Is Back' provides a top cover version of Kool & The Gang. 'Bowlegs' is the serious instrumental work out, congas, hammond organ and heavy latin funk flavour bassline. A must have Lp even just for 'Bowlegs'. 8.5 / 10
