The back cover lists "Flamenco Sketches" as the fourth track and "All Blues" as the last track, which is incorrect. However, the labels list the tracks in the correct order, which is reflected in the tracklist on this page.
This version can be differentiated from the other 1959 stereo pressings by the labels:
First, there is misprinted version (Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue) with an error in the track order on the side B label.
Second, there is another version (Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue) with "Kind Of Blue" printed on one line on the side B label.
Third, there is another version (Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue) with slightly different typesetting that is most distinguishable in the width of the characters that form the catalog number and "Stereo Fidelity" at the top of the labels.
There is also a repress (Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue) with labels that show "CBS" (CBS) in the upper center area, but are otherwise very similar to the Columbia '6-eye' labels on this version.
A printer number "4" printed on the bottom right corner of the sleeve back (see images).

Found this album in near mint condition at a garage sale for 50 cents. So glad I woke up early that random Saturday morning to go crate digging. This find makes me motivated to get out there and find more gems like this everyday!!! You never know what you will find and I have a great album and story to tell for years to come!!!- It seems the 1959 stereo pressings of this album had so many label variations. I assume that whatever is closest to the label of the demo version (https://www.discogs.com/Miles-Davis-Kind-Of-Blue/release/5795305), with the tracks on Side B wrongly interchanged, but red in color instead of white, would be the earliest pressings. Some 1959 stereo pressings had the title "Kind of Blue" occupying one line only on both sides (like in the promo; I assume these are the earlier 1959 pressings), others had Side A with the title on two lines while Side B has it on one line but the track listing sequence corrected (like the one pictured on this page), while others have both sides with the title on two lines. If I'm going to spend a sizeable amount on a 1959 pressing, I might as well get an earlier one, in the original Columbia plastic inner sleeve. Any thoughts?

But the A Side runout is XSM47326-1E, the B side runout is XSM47327-1K.
Other parts of the vinyl and sleeve is totally identical.

In Vinyl1954´s comment I got a little confused when reading ; "t is best to use Columbia EQ curve on the photo stage" . What is photo stage ?
And what is the truth regarding the mentioned EQ-curves ? - Edited 14 years agoThis is one of the most renowned Jazz masterpieces.
However, as most of its original releases (not the later re-issues) were pressed with Columbia EQ curve, in order to hear the full glory of this LP, it is best to use Columbia EQ curve on the photo stage to replay it. If one uses the standard RIAA EQ curve to replay it, it's bass will sound fat and undefined, and the rich texture which was presented on the LP will be lost.
