- Of the original members of The Pretenders, who during the waning days of the English punk rock explosion breakthroughs with the classic popsingle Brass In Pocket, is only singer Chrissie Hynde. Although they later guest vocal contributions provided to artists such as UB40, Elvis Costello and Frank Sinatra, she never dared to 2003 under her own name to a cd. Apparently the tough Chrissie functions best in the togetherness of a rock band, consisting only of men. Also as ' one of the guys ' is her influence on the band sound of the renewed Pretenders unmistakable. The are her songs and especially her smoking, from thousands of recognizable way of singing that can set the tone on Loose Screw, the eighth official album of the group, no doubt to the delight of fans of the first hour. Occasionally there is a trip to reggae (Complex Person) but on the vast majority of the album dominated the familiar Pub rock, which are so commonplace but at the same time so unique sounds. In the Encore I Wish You Love we hear Hynde in the role of sultry jazz crooner.
