This is a beauty of an album that is one of my favorites. The pressing on this is very well done and sounds very nice, the dynamics are all there and the acoustics sound pleasing to the ears.

Great pressing and brilliant album! However, my copy didn't come with the Sun Giant EP which broke my heart coz Mykonos is on there! I received 2 copies of the main LP inside the jacket instead. Anybody else experience this?

This is a stunning album. However, I'm wondering if anybody else has had issues with surface noise...especially on the EP. The dynamics of the record are wonderful and the music is superbly recorded. Vocals sound amazing. I've been through a few copies, and each seems to have surface noise...almost this constant staticky noise. Anybody else have this issue?

One of the sexiest records I've heard. Plenty of warm and beautiful dynamic range. Hardly any surface noise. 10/10 would recommend.

I have two copies of this album. Copy #1 I bought in 2008, and fits all the parameters above. Copy #2 I bought today from a local record store, and it also fits everything above. However, the packaging is different. Notably, Copy#2 has plastic sleeves for the records, whereas #1 has paper. Additionally, the spines are slightly different: The "Sup Pop" label at the top is smaller on #2 than #1, "Fleet Foxes" is better centered in the middle, and "SP 777" is all the way at the bottom (#1 has a cpl inches between the "SP 777" and the bottom).

Is the one I bought today a repress? All I see above are entries for the colored/limited variants of a repress. Is there a black repress?

I love this front cover, I could look at it for hours. I always think it is funny that there is a man who looks like he is masturbating a pig though!!

It seems this pressing is hit or miss for some people. Luckily I guess, my copy that was bought back in 2008 still sounds beautiful. I do wish there were more bottom end overall, but the rest of the mix sounds full and dynamic enough that it doesn't matter too much. Each side does get a little noisy towards the end, unfortunately. As a result, I don't know if I'd put this in the range of "best sounding records" in my collection, but it'd be a very strong honorable mention. The album's very pleasantly warm, balanced production feels sort of like it was created with vinyl primarily in mind (this maybe makes more sense if you've heard the album), which makes this release particularly fun to listen to.

My copy of this release has an acceptable noise floor with occasional light pops that aren't distracting (not cleaned). The vinyl came with some slight warp that does not effect playback. The sound stage is fairly large with good instrumental separation. Tones are warm and natural. Vocals are clean and high frequencies are crisp but not bright. Guitar is sharp and accurate. Snares and cymbals sound clean and natural. Bottom end is slightly thin but cured by 2.1 listening. The music itself is vivid and peaceful. The included Sun Giant EP is also good pressing but has slightly more surface noise (not cleaned). The EP also seems to have a bit more bottom end. Fleet Foxes are awesome! I recommend this release. (Rega Planar 3, Exact 2 cart, PSE Studio PL, Linn LK85, Linn interconnects, Linn Katans - Linn Sizmik 12.45" for 2.1)

Great album to listen to on vinyl. Got album in great condition and love both the original fleet foxes album and did not expect to recieve the Sun Giant EP along with the LP. When I opened it up and realized Sun Giant was in there, of course I was shocked. I play the album all the time and Sun Giant along with it. The cover and inside of the gate-fold was awesome looking and I was pleased with the notecards and lyrics and such that came with it.

I have now purchased - and was forced to send back - two copies of this LP, because they were both so warped right out of the shrink wrap that my needle would jump off the record when I tried to play them. Does anyone know if this is a batch defect on the manufacturers part? Or is it more likely that it was just from improper storage by the vendor and delivery company? Anyone else open this record up to find two warped discs?
