Was all set to buy the RSD 2023 yellow vinyl edition when I realised this deluxe version was still available for pretty much the same price. No competition: Two extra LPs in a gatefold sleeve separate from the main album in its own single album sleeve and all wrapped in a sturdy box. Vinyl is pristine. Hoorah! Great value purchase!
Edited 2 years agoSurpassed my expectations! Sounds really great. I have an original Canadian pressing that I bought new back in the day. Compared the two and this release stands up to the original, no problem. The nice packaging is an added bonus. This set is worth picking up like others have mentioned, even if you already have an original pressing. Underrated band/record in my opinion…- Edited one year agoI think this edition is a bit overrated and oversized. I have a 78' Vg+ German pressing to compare with. They remastered a classic punk rock record into "radio friendly" rock sound. Compared to the original, the volume is too low and the great youthful exuberance of the sound (especially drums) is mostly gone. The two other discs contain a very well remastered version of 'Your Generation' and some other good or interesting stuff but also fillers like the Winstanley mixes.
Great package - this is definitely worth getting even if you have the earlier versions of the original LP.
Top notch stuff here - Great packaging and the records sound superb - don’t hesitate on adding this to your collection.
Great job all around on this set. With most reissues I end up playing the originals. This will be my go to for this record.
