My copy sounds pretty damn good. I gave it a couple spin cleans and it’s sounds great - zero pops or audible surface noise on either side. Dead quiet vinyl with good dynamics.

The ones complaining about surface noise and pops, are you properly cleaning your vinyl? I’ve been spin cleaning all my vinyl on arrival and it’s made a world of difference during playback.

Invited to follow a man swimming into his own sorrow and emerging back to reality by the end, Justin Vernon's work in this classic folk album achieves timeless and relatable heartache with harsh lyrics about meeting the bottom but being able to recover from it.

There's a a lot of surface noise at the beginning of both sides, but it gets a bit better later on.

I feel sorry for those with the bad pressing, my copy is perfect. Mine has no static and plays beautifully. Skinny love is amazing!

This is the best indie-folk album I’ve ever heard. The guitar is beautifully played, the songwriting is wonderful, and the vocals are deeply original.

Loud noise floor, lots of ticks and pops...what a shame.

Same experience as most with this one. This is an atrocious pressing of a fantastic album. Really too bad. Do not buy this. It's got surface noise like you would expect from a 30 year old record.

It's a bummer to me because the sound of the actual recordings sound so good and really lend themselves to a good pressing. Thumbs down to Furnace Mfg. for this botched job.

Thumbs up to Caveman for such a great album. Buy this one on digital or CD.

I got a great copy second hand. Mine has none of the problems others are reporting. Such a good sounding release, full of life. Has the KPG in the deadwax which is great. I am such a Kevin Gray fan. Also has a lyrics sheet included which is admittedly a must have (Justin Vernon's enunciation is middling at best)

Unfortunately had to get rid of the record shortly after buying it as it sounds horrible. Surface noise is very overpowering. Great album but not worth buying on vinyl.

I love the songs on this album, but not the sound of this vinyl. There is a lot of surface noise. Seems like this is a common problem. Be advised!
