- Really happy with this purchase . Vinyl sounds great , no pops , skips or distortion. Vinyl looks great in silver and flat as a tack. Worth purchasing .
- Surface noise: Gave this a light cleaning with my groove washer before playing. Still had light surface noise. Gave it a wet clean with my spin clean using Tergikleen finishing up with the vinyl vac and it sounded better, but was still very very light in places. My conclusion is that it may improve further depending on cleaning methods, but this is not one of those pressings that sound stellar with just a light cleaning.
Sound quality: This sounded very good to my ears. No issues with inner groove distortion or anything out of the ordinary. I could hear the vocal harmonies a little better when compared to the CD.
Speakers: Klipsch R-820F
Turntable: Fluance RT85 with Ortofon 2M Blue
Preamp: Schiit mani
Receiver: Kenwood - Sadly I have to agree with most here, horrendous snaps all through My Immortal (honestly feared for my stylus life they were so bad!) Very flat and gutted low-end. Completely disappointed in this one.
- The sound quality of the final verse on 'My Immortal' gets really garbled and gross sounding on my pressing. Other than that, fantastic album! So glad this is in my collection. ::)
